Art Capital 2023, Grand Palais Ephermere, Paris

Art Capital was born in 1884 from the "Historical Grand Palais" halls and the initiative of artists from different backgrounds to join forces to create a new event. In the historical tradition of art fairs, 4 fairs that have come together for 139 years at Art Capital make it possible to exhibit new or established artists.
Paris Grand Palais Ephémère Art Capital Exposition 2023 fair welcomed art lovers between February 14-19. More than 2,000 contemporary, national and international artists were exhibited at the Grand Palais Ephémère in Paris at the Art Capital fair. The fair, which was visited by more than 40,000 art lovers, attracted great attention.
The fair was opened with a special invitation attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, French Minister of Culture, Grand Palais Museum Director, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Paris and representatives, many bureaucrats, UNESCO senior executives and the art community.
The fair, where nearly 2000 artists from every discipline exhibited their works, brought together painters, sculptors, photographers, visual artists and architects. It consisted of 4 sections: Independent Artists Association, French Artists Hall, Comparisons Hall and Drawing and Watercolor Painting Hall.
16 Turkish artists including Ece Demirkesen represented our country with their works at the Art Capital Artistes Independent event, which was held with the participation of First Counselor of the Paris Embassy Banu Pulat Bucaklı and our Administrative Attaché Emel Çakan at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, under the curatorship of Armand Berberian. In addition, a 300-page catalogue containing the works of all the artists participating in the fair was included in the archives of both the National French Library and the New York National Library.
